Primary - each page has a First Nations picture of the animal, an interesting fact, and what the animal represents to FN culture. Beautiful and colourful.

Upper Grades - combine with "Colour and Draw: Northwest Coast Native Formline" https://www.strongnations.com/store/item_display.php?i=6250 (consumable purchase from FRA) to provide a unit on Coastal FN Art.

Curriculum Ties -

Science - characteristics of animals (K,1), coastal ecosystem (3,4)

Social Studies - Diversity of Canada's land and people (2), values in indigenous cultures (3)

Visual Arts - traditional and contemporary aboriginal arts and arts-making processes (all)
